Our Story

Locals and new owners Brian LiCalsi & Bob DePetro took over ownership of what used to be CJ's Tavern. Over the past few weeks, they have closed down the place to demo & renovate and are looking to open back up in early June as Heights 27!

 

So why is it called Heights 27? "The Heights" community is a small & prideful one and it was important to Brian & Bob to tie the towns history when establishing the new business. After doing some research they found out the borough of Spring Lake Heights was established in 1927, breaking off from Wall Township.... this is how Heights 27 came to life. 

 

Even though Heights 27 Bar & Grille, will be getting improvements & updates to the look, they plan on keeping what makes this a great spot. They will continue to serve delicious food with a friendly local atmosphere. The menu will offer high quality bar food with some dishes being classic bar staples & some with an upscale twist on them. They will bring in bands & local talent from surrounding communities several nights a week for patrons to enjoy during happy hour, dinner or a nightcap beer/ cocktail. 

 

Heights 27 Bar & Grille is committed to the town of Spring Lake Heights with supporting local & giving back. They are already working with the Spring Lake Heights PTA and look forward to expanding their relationships within the community.
